Not with this engine and this massive AI, obviously. Of course there *might* be more ongoing but programmers are perfect in making something look "better" than it actually is by hiding obvious disadvantages and baking and such stuff. If they wouldn't be faking all the time we wouldn't have games running at 30 fps but 30 spf.

If they can offload it to the GPU maybe. Maybe with a complete new engine this time and not a rehash from last gen.

But yeah, the CPU is complete shit and only good for bare necessities.

I wonder if Microsoft's cloud promise thing will hold some value in the future.
If we reach a point where we can have smooth streaming in games, I think using the cloud as a means to boost the graphics of a console could be quite cool. That would definitely increase the length of the gen, but it'll also mean always online for some games :/

Come to think of it, something like that could transition us to the "streaming generation" of consoles that some people seem to be predicting.
