It's like it's their life mission to ruin our dreams T-T
Fairly recently Nomura stated that he's still selecting the worlds for the game so I don't see this engine switch as being much of a delay. If anything it might speed up the the game development process because UE4 has better development tools due to its widespread use.
Judging from last gen, Unreal Engine is never a good news. Hopefully things have changed with the new version. They are dealing with issues so I guess that is good.
Since Nomura is choosing which Disney worlds to use, I hope to see Frozen in the game, there is a lot of potential in the story.

It depends on how many assets they actually had running in Luminous, also on whether UE4 efficiency offsets that. That fact that they switched makes me think the latter is infact notable.

UE4 is amazing! Far more versatile then 3 and the only AAA game we've seen from it properly so far was an open world batman and that looked great.

I don't think its that bad to compare to previous SE dev problems. Kingdom hearts 3 has never actual been on the horizon and anyone who expected this game earlier then fall 2016 was being unrealistic. The game has barely begun development so I woudnt count this as a delay, just the usual shifts and changes that happen early on in a games life. The bottom line really is that game should have never been announced, not until they have the actual game to show and not a concept trailer or a technical combat demo which was probably thrown together in a couple of months.
I'm more confidant in a timely release now. We might even see this come out in 2 years.
This is good right? SE Japan has proven to be unable to get tech done.. and nice of them not using any of their inhouse Western engines which powered Tomb Raider and Hitman
