i can u say bravo to someone that doesnt have a clue of what hisher talking about.

CPU doesnt affect resolution. CPU has nothing to do with resolution. jesus christ

@bold - cool story, bro. Whatever that is supposed to say.

@rest - never said it does. But since you're such an ace at this stuff, maybe shoot Ubi an email? They clearly need you.

nah doesnt worth it

Did anybody read the paragraph about AI? They're not intentionally holding the PS4 back, the game is CPU bound and both Xbox One and PS4 have roughly the same CPU, hense why the performance is the same. Would you rather they decrease the number of characters on the screen just to hit 1080p? I swear, gamers this generation have been so obnoxious, this desire for 1080p is holding games back from their true potential. Face facts guys, neither the Xbox One or PS4 were as powerful as devs were hoping for, that's why they're only equivalent to mid-range PC's this gen whereas last gen 360/PS3 started out equivalent to high-end PC's. Let developers optimize games the way they want to optimize them instead of telling them that 1080p/60fps are requirements, you're forcing their hands by doing that and causing them to have to make sacrifices they don't want to make. I applaud you Ubisoft, for having the balls to stand up to obnoxious gamers and do what many other devs have been too scared to do, refuse to sacrifice features you wanted in the game just to hit 1080p/60fps.

Bravo, best post in the thread. It's sad to see people clamoring for a higher resolution at the expense of things that actually matter to actual gameplay.

And the funniest part is all these shouts of "parity" and Microsoft paying for "parity", just because two games both run at 900p and 30fps does not mean there is parity. You can expect the usual superior textures, etc in the PS4 version. There is no real parity.

Strange how one machine supposedly holding another back is only just now a big deal. PC gamers have been dealing with it for years. My favorite game thus far of this gen, Titanfall, was even held back by the PS3. Who cares? Game is fun.

The bravo is for putting as much disinformation as possible in a single post. Not easy in a thread like this.

Ridiculous.

MS got in their back pocket to keep parity. Machinima predicted this would happen when they tested both consoles and predicted the politics after the ps4 was the victor.

Sad but true.

They just lazy, stupid excuse. Its a lot harder to get 1080p at a locked 60 rather than 30 frames locked, I would say its more to do with time constraints than not being able to

old skool

Darn, I missed all the fun....

Clearly it will be just a matter of time before most of the multiplats fall victim to the decision of Resolutiongate. Developers have to decide whether they will make the game the best for everyone or just one set of fans. Picking a resolution and framerate and sticking to it reduces costs of development. Like many have said, if buyers don't care about gameplay or the overall quality of the game, they will skip the game and blame it on the lost graphics fidelity that the MAY have had.

It is near the end of the end....

Oh what's really funny is most people have 720p tv,s that are 1080i. Which means they cant get 1080p output, I swear to god I was at my mates house and he was going on about 1080p and I looked at his 720p tv I laughed

That is not true... there is no more 720p/1080i TVs after 200x being sold (I don't remember the year)... so most TVs are 1080p todays.
