I've been playing for the past 4 days and I'm close to mastering Medium. Is that any good? I really want to get better ( at least Hard ) in order to get online.

How long did it take you to pass each difficulty level?

Look at it like this. Difficulty changes are exponential. Every difficult doubles the difficulty of the same song on the previous difficulty.

One by Metallica will be twice as difficult on Hard as it is on Medium. It will be 4 times as difficult on Expert as it is on Medium.

The difficult increases are GOOD though, because it makes the game have a TON of replay value. This isn't a game your gonna be able to master in a couple of weeks of playing, unless you don't sleep during those two weeks and eat during load times.

It's like a MMO based on skill. You can wow your friends with a lot of practice, or have fun with them, with just a little practice. Really great game, wish I could go back and play the previous installments.

Ouchh! Four times harder? I guess I have a lot of practise to do :)

Anyways, I agree. This is a game I'll play for months to come a little at a time and eventually ( I hope ) I'll get to Expert. I seem to be having a bit of a problem in solos but I'm working on it. I have to get ***** on Cliffs of Dover!

Cliffs is a GREAT song.

Don't ever get discouraged and say "my pinky just won't work like that" or "I'll never do this, I just lose my place."

EVERYBODY thinks that their first time. It just takes practice and patience. Once you reach a plateau in skill, take a break for a day or two, and when you come back fresh, you'll probably surpass your expectations. Its actually like really learning a difficult motor skill, it takes a lot of practice and patience.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

You're right about that! When I first saw One on Medium, I failed and said to myself " These clumsy fingers will never do it ". After playing through the other songs, I nailed ***** on it and I jumped with joy!

I guess it can only get better in the higher difficulty settings, right?

I finished expert with 5 stars in the first two clusters, four star on the rest except for Raining Blood, and a few of the bonus songs. Now Dragonforce I cannot pass the intro in expert, but I already gave up on it.

"¿Por qué justo a mí tenía que tocarme ser yo?"

Currently I'm in the process of 5-starring everything, I've got Easy, Medium, Hard (minus Set 8) all 5-starred and a bunch of those are gold starred. On expert I've got 5-stars through set 5 iirc and its a mix of 4 & 5 stars above that except Set 7 & 8 which has a few 3 stars also. I still need to beat Set 8 on expert though...haven't quite finished Raining Blood or One...and obviously the final guitar battle.

I've also been working on through fire and flames but that is slow going now that I seem to have hit a plateau of ~76%-77% of the notes in practice. I need to get the intro down so I can start giving the song a serious go to beat it.

To Each Man, Responsibility

Terrible at Guitar Hero (although I don't own it and have only played at friend's apartments).

Now DDR, on the other hand...

(Yes, that's me.) Apologies is this is too off-topic for this thread.

I am not really good. I beat the game on Easy and Medium but I just can't get past the last few songs on hard.

Currently Playing: Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart 8, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Super Smash Bros for Wii U

Predictions:

Super Mario Galaxy will pass Super Mario 64 in total sales CORRECT!

I've only played once. That should give you and idea.

I've 5*'d everything (on Expert) with the exception of Through the Fire and Flames. I've only 4*'d that. Im ranked in the top 100 on both Scorehero.com and Guitarhero.com under the name Crabmaster2000 if anyone is interested in checking out my scores.

I have Gold Starred 38 songs in the game on expert. I'm taking a break though cause i totally burned myself out on some of those gold stars. im going to play through Fire Emblem and probaly replay an older game and then maybe go for a few more goldies.

Nice. Did you play GH before part 3?

Also, not to hijack, but which Fire Emblem, and how do you like it?

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I played GH, GH2 and the 80s one. Only beat the first one on expert, five starred the whole second one, and got about one third gold stars on the 80s one. So i figured if i wanted to keep improving from the previous games i should Gold star at least half of the songs. Ill maybe shoot for 75% gold star for GH4 depending on the songs in it.

Its Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn. I havnt played a SRPG in quite a while so I'm really enjoying it. I can't stand losing any players though so if someone dies I restart the level so its taking forever. I played some levels like a dozen times so the everyone survives. Im in the middle of the 3rd chapter right now. im really curious to see how all three chapters (and characters involved) come together in the end. It should be an epic battle.
