I'm working on Dragonforce expert. I have 5 starred One on Expert, and managed to pass Raining Blood(or whatever, I hate that freakin song irl and on the game).
I just finished playing it actually, I bought it about 3 weeks after it launched for Wii and have never had another guitar hero, been playing it ever since and it took me this long to get this good, and with as much practice as I put in, I'm not gonna be modest, I'm very good. Getting 80 percent on Dragonforce expert in practice, but having trouble passing the song due to the intro and the middle-ending solos.
I no longer play hard mode.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
@ZenfoldorVGI
I've been playing for the past 4 days and I'm close to mastering Medium. Is that any good? I really want to get better ( at least Hard ) in order to get online.
How long did it take you to pass each difficulty level?
My themeforest portfolio:
I'm still stuck on late hard and early expert songs.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)
Nintendo ID: Mako91 3DS code: 4167-4543-6089
I'm working my way on expert, actually on the japan tour. Completed medium, still trying to beat lou on hard.
I win more than i lose on pro face-offs online, in hard and expert

Look at it like this. Difficulty changes are exponential. Every difficult doubles the difficulty of the same song on the previous difficulty.
One by Metallica will be twice as difficult on Hard as it is on Medium. It will be 4 times as difficult on Expert as it is on Medium.
The difficult increases are GOOD though, because it makes the game have a TON of replay value. This isn't a game your gonna be able to master in a couple of weeks of playing, unless you don't sleep during those two weeks and eat during load times.
It's like a MMO based on skill. You can wow your friends with a lot of practice, or have fun with them, with just a little practice. Really great game, wish I could go back and play the previous installments.

There is a brick wall of difficulty on the last two sets of hard. Once you transcend that wall, the rest of the game is just a perfection of your legendary skill. I never thought I would beat those last songs on hard, the last 10 or so, but once you do, you are really good. Then practice in expert will be time consuming, but productive, and you'll be able to go back to the last songs on hard and beat them with 5 stars and be dancing around and acting a fool while you do it easy, and wonder how they ever gave you trouble. Its worth it to pass that difficulty wall at the end of hard, trust me. It makes you enjoy the game twice as much when your freakin' amazing at it.

Ouchh! Four times harder? I guess I have a lot of practise to do :)
Anyways, I agree. This is a game I'll play for months to come a little at a time and eventually ( I hope ) I'll get to Expert. I seem to be having a bit of a problem in solos but I'm working on it. I have to get ***** on Cliffs of Dover!

Sorry for triple post:
How long did it take you to pass each difficulty level?
From Hard to Expert with decent ratings on songs? About 20-100 hours of practice depending on your natural ability.
To pass and perfect expert? Never happen. Infinate amount of time.

The hardest song I've cleared is Cliffs of Dover on hard so I'm no that good but I only play for fun :)
