Here's the core decision: do we believe that when I find an item, that it means scum.
We are given explicit notice if we are roleblocked, correct? If so, then it does mean Hylian is safe, and then if we believe that there are no twists to my power as i understand it (i have presented it as clearly as the rules allow), then Yoshiya is definitely scum and we should lynch.
If there is significant doubt of any of the above, then we pass to the next candidate.
Spurgeonryan has been more engaged in the game and more vocal about an impending lynch, though he has behaved that way before when he was scum. He has a clearer story about nighttime actions and his role and powers than Yoshiya does, but he has two glaring holes in his story: his claim that he saw Smeags visit me, and his claim that i did nothing last night. Both of these are possible if Prof is running an exceptionally twisted game, where the Jester could also visit people overnight just to fuck with readings, and where he plays strictly to the flavor, meaning that because i sent units out last night, i technically did not go anywhere, even though i targeted Yoshiya.
Essentially, the question of how twisted Prof is being is in play in both of these cases: are items the weapons that scum use to murder or do other dirty deeds, such that seeing one means scum, or is it up to us to analyze whether an item sounds scummy? Are the flavor posts literal in determining the effectiveness of roles and abilities, or is the game running "normally" behind the flavor-dressing?
Prof likes to overthink, and i think that he would like to make a game that would make us overthink, but ultimately would not overburden himself with a game that required HIM to keep track of crazy minutia. I have faith that the flavor is a distraction. The question is, do others?
I wonder. Could hammer invincibility stop Nickles' poisoning for the night? (meaning he gets one more day before it kicks in)
(i could unvote/revote if we're going to go for that later on)
