Hmm, I feel like I'm being pretty useless right now. The role madness has me thoroughly confused, especially the stefl and yoshiya claims and how they have the ability to obscure results and how that would interact is difficult for me to get my head around. The only thing that seems obvious is that someone is lying. I guess in a way the Settle it in Smash power helps since it narrows down the paths forward.
The things I do know though is the I agree about Astro, the first thing I thought when he claimed was that that seemed awfully convenient and a lazy claim. I didn't buy it. Still, it's not like there's not other good candidates in the Smash-off so it is probably best to leave Astro alone for now.
Of the remaining three it seems Yoshiya and Spurge are the fishiest. I see the theory that Hylian might be the Godfather, but from last game I feel that town is best off trusting the confirmed results we have until we run out of solid options or a scan result just doesn't make any sense anymore (or the scanner turns up scum).
Yoshiya's claim did seem a little 'stumbly' and weird. I was under the impression that bus driver was pretty much a scum role, but I guess town bus driver does exist though I have a hard time seeing the use for it, if anything it seems the role in the hand of uninformed town would do more harm than good. That's the little nagging doubt I have about Yoshiya: if he's scum, why claim such a scummy role?
Finally we have Spurge, who probably should have had the lightning rod role considering all the attention he tends to attract. To me, he seems to be in the center of a cyclone of confusing redirected claims and actions. A I said, I'm don't have my head wrapped around all the possible deflections and redirections that could have happened, but the way I see it even though his result on Smeags might have been the result of some sort of redirect, his claim that he never left his house seems very odd. Unless I am being let down by my lack of knowledge of the roles in mafia I don't think there's anyone who has claimed an action that would prevent him from leaving his house at night? When I read spurge I get the same feeling I did from him in the last game, going off on everyone and spreading accusations and blame all over the place, couple with out of the blue night action results that seem off or odd.
I will vote for a time extension if we end up needing one, thought I am note sure it's necessary with just 4 possible targets but I do hope that we can avoid a quick lynch toDay. I want to at least attempt to go back through all claimed Night actions and roles and see if I can make sense of it thought I found it extremely confusing the last time I tried.
