However I do agree there's a lot of inconsistencies. That's something others are just as accountable for as Spurge, however. 

Why would he lie? I don't know. Why would he try to keep lumping suspicion on confirmed (or near enough) town? Why would he continue to ignore people and continue with his story which relies on coincidences and unproven claims? I could post them but I'm on my phone. Most nearly everyone has mentioned them already however. 

There is a chance Spurge is town. There's a chance the Mafia are setting him up. There's a chance all these crazy coincidences are true and there's a chance Spurge and his anger are justified. But right now, there is no better target. And there's too slim a chance to gamble on it twice. 

And this play is detrimental to town anyway.

I am some weird concoction between a body-guard, watcher and lighting rod. I am not a watcher, as watchers do not die if they watch someone that gets killed, I am not a pure body-guard, because I also get an investigative result... and finally, since I also redirect other abilities onto me, I kind of function like a lighting rod as well.

Spurge is acting pretty damn weird and frankly he just makes it hard to read other players because his play really is not with town. I think may suspicions on him were right

Yoshiya's "claim" is definitely a bit weird too- he was asked for a role and instead gives the name of his role? (Mine doesn't even have a name, which makes it doubly weird)

I mean, there's a chance that he doesn't want to give away his role unless he has information to share or whatever, but at least claim "it's too early for me to claim" rather than a non-answer
