Why does someone have to "hate" Jesus if they don't agree with exactly what you believe? 

Even though I don't literally believe in the Bible, I do think the Jesus described in the Bible is a pretty groovy dude and I find most hardcore Christians are actually not much like their described Christ at all. 

Ditto. I'd certainly take a "Jefferson Bible" as something good to follow for my life ways. I was raised Catholic and have a lot of respect for much of the Church's work and the teachings of Jesus, I just don't see the point in believing the more supernatural aspects of it. Christianity could be right, Christianity could be wrong, it's designed to be largely unprovable, so we should only focus on what we can verify.

Those above are only birth pains. ¶ All these are the beginning of birth pains.

4 - The overall wickedness preached by Hollywood and the music industry, also the New Age demonic lies and everything else: ¶ At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,

¶ and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.

5 - Israel is reborn in one day in 1948. Israel is the prophetic Fig Tree in the bible. ¶ "Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.

¶ Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it [^5] is near, right at the door.
¶ Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

So, 80 years can not pass from 1948 till the main event: the rebuilt of the Temple and the abomination of desolation 3 and half years after.

There are like hundreds of other signs all over the bible, all describe event by event our days. 


So what happens when/if 80 years passes and nothing has happened? I'm sure there will be some "well, the prophecy was mistranslated or it wasn't the right propehcy here's the real one" type talk. 

Also what what point in human history is "there will be nation against nation, earthquakes in some places, famine in some places" not applicable? 

2 Peter 3:10: "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up"

In other words you cannot predict it.

Yes it can.  I think you might be confused.  It clearly states in the Bible in the verse I just quoted above that no one will know when the End Time is and anyone claiming they do know is wrong.

I always liked him as an actor, but now I like him in general. Though nothing can stop Israel, so what people say won't matter much regardless of who they are.

I don't believe that. I'm sure they could be stopped. It wouldn't be easy, but they could make a peace deal with Palestine/Hamas.

For starters they cease hostilities. Then they make contact with the Palestinian government and the people of Gaza and offer a peace settlement, they stop blockading them and even give back a bit of the land they took to get it done. If needed they give Gaza food and medical aid. And of course, most importantly as part of the peace deal they agree that Palestine will actively work to prevent Hamas doing anything against Israel again in the future.

Sure it is unlikely that would happen, but not impossible.


Well, your scenario may happen, but we know it won't. There is absolutely no reason for Israel to stop what they are doing. The country with the only relevant army in this day and age is their biggest ally, and the Israeli people almost fully support the government actions. European countries don't give a fuck and the rest of the world have their own problems.

Yes, once Israel stops fighting, Hamas will just stop fighting, as well.  The same people who want to wipe Israel, as well as all non-Muslim countries off the map.  The ones who purposely hide themselves and their munitions among the public, so when Israel does retaliate they can run to blind leftists with cries of Israel atrocities.  Of course, those same leftists love to ignore the MASS atrocities that the radicals commit against those of different faiths, gays, their own women, and even Muslims who aren't as radical as them.  Murders, beheadings, bombings, genital mutilation, honor killings, etc.  The same people who entered into a cease fire agreement with Israel, only to start firing rockets at them, again.  Yep, they sound like reasonable guys.

Now, you can keep buying whatever BS excuse they come up with for the horrible actions, including dumb shit that happened hundreds of years ago.  I, and other common sense indivisuals, will continue to live in the now.  Where we know scum terrorists can never be bargained with or appeased.  This is a holy war they have against infidels in all lands, not some skirmish over nearby land.
