He was working at GS one day and IGN the next. Literally, the next day.

I suspect a pay raise more than I think Gerstmann gate, but we'll never know.

You don't quit a job you've had for years with lots of friends to get a slight pay raise.  Something happened.

This is pretty funny, actually, since I just yesterday posted the thread about his departure from BS. (sorry, GS )

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I said slight--IGN wouldn't be able to offer much more than GS.  They're equally well-funded.

I agree with Faxanadu. Some people even leave jobs they've had for years to earn less money somewhere else. There are many factors that need to be taken into consideration, one of which is that work "friends" are rarely the same as real friends. Real friends you hang out with because you want to; work friends you hang out with because you have to.

OT: I don't know who this guy is or why he supposedly left GS. Anyone care to elaborate?

lol, probably because he's editor in chief of PC section.

he's one of the most respected editors in the industry, imo

Yeah, i don't actually know of any of the editors in the industry.  Never saw much point to it on what made them worth of knowing their names.   No offense, but they are basically guys who play a bunch of videogames who found a way to make that their job.

The last editor i knew of anything was Howard Phillips, and that was only because he had a comic with him in it.

so, people are obsessed more than me (about videogames) to the point where they know a reviewers name? Stalkers.....
