Forums - Sales - Destiny 2nd week hardware drops for PS4 and Xb one, what will they be?

What will they be?

We know PS4 dropped 15K in Japan. We know PS4 Destiny bundle is still driving PS4 sales in the UK, but we have no idea what that actually means in numerical terms.

My guess for global hardware sales for Week ending 20 Sept is PS4~200K, Xb one ~100K.

So that means I reckon the drop will be about 57% for PS4, and about 41% for Xb one. Bigger drop for PS4 because it got a bigger boost, both percent-wise and absolute sales-wise, from Destiny.

I think the Wii U will drop below 30k this week.

Random wiiU sales comment in a thread not related to the wiiU

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Seems like a good estimate to me.

Wii U + PS4

Why would Wii U drop over 20%? It's biggest weekly drop in the last month was 18% and that was after HyWa launched in Japan. Otherwise the typical weekly drop has been ~10% or less. So I expect ~34K for Wii U for the week, or it could go up a percent or 2 because of weekly fluctuations. I don't think the Wii U sales floor is under 30K.

Oops hijacked my own thread.

Considering just the added sales from Destiny... the drop will be between 70-85%, probably 80%

I agree with jizzbeard. This comment seems quite ill-placed.

Please no-one respond to it further.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

At least half, PS4 will drop to around 180-200k, X1 should drop back below 100k, eventually going back to it's 50k or so baseline.

The Xbox One definitely sacrificed more to get its boost. Both will come down considerably, but while the ps4 will continue to get residual sales from the Destiny Bundle, a lot of what gave the XB1 its boost(Free game, and temp price cuts) were gone the next week.

My guess is that PS4 gets around 200k, and the XB1 gets 50k.

Ps4 will still probably benefit from the boost, so i think it will do something like 215k.

xbox one don't have major release now, no others big "tier 2" country, so it will probably fall at 75k/80k.
