Forums - Gaming Discussion - Blizzard cancels its next-gen MMO Titan after seven years

Wow, 7 years. Why waste so much time making a game and then just cancel it?

It happens. Think Duke Nukem Forever. There are things no matter what you do, it just fails at stuff with other ideas. But they keep trying to get the other stuff to work.

So back to WoW Remastered?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Least that means that Activision's claws in Blizzard isn't that deep or else they would have released it anyway

I'm not sure why anyone would have a problem with this. I think it's awesome that they can look at a game critically and say, "nah, this isn't to our standards." Of course, they are one of the few studios that can afford to do something like that.

The funny thing is, we went through this same kind of negative reaction after Starcraft: Ghost was cancelled. People acted like Blizzard was finished and that the franchise was dead. We know how that worked out.

Interested in seeing what they do next. One of the higher quality developers out there.
