Not if you're not an hoarder. I've used a 8GB card since launch and will probably never get another one.

Those things, no matter how you look at them in terms of efficiency from the user, were a deal breaker for a lot of people.

Sucks for them. Makes no sense.

Other have said it. If you have a PS4 it can also remote play your PS4 games on a second TV.

that feature would be pointless since I just have one t.v. and live alone, but I can see how it would be useful for other people.

i have a question as well, im buying the PS TV, but currently it only support some games (like P4 Golden that i do want) at launch, but it doesnt support every PS VITA game so... do you think it will support games like the Neptunia Re:Birth 1 some time in the future?.

I don't know, but sony does'nt seem to have a good track record when it comes to support of there secondary devices. Just my opinion, but there's always a chance.

It's a Vita without a screen and buttons for $99.

You get to play the PSX/PSVita/PSP games you own, can stream PS4 games from your PS4, it will be PSNow compatible thus giving you PS2 and PS3 games. All in a tiny box for a tiny price. The cons - you need a Vita memory card, a DualShock and a TV

I will be getting one for sure

So,the console will have it's own menu screen, seperate from the ps4.

Yes it will, just talk to a friend of mine who is a manager at gamestop to confirm this among other questions.

It depends on whether how much of the game requires the use of the touchscreen and rear touchpad. Tearaway, for example, can never be played on the PSTV. However, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re:Birth 1, I believe, doesn't utilize the touchscreen that much if at all. I say it will be supported in the future.

Man so many answers and not a single helpful one...

So What is PS TV /Vita TV?

It is a PSVita that has neither touch screen/display nor rear touchpad. But has HDMI so you can use it with your HDTV. It is its own device that has its own menu and its own hardware like a Vita. The games run at Vita resolution which is 960 x 544.

It does not ALWAYS come with a controller. you can buy 1 version with and 1 without controller. Why? Because you can use a regular PS3 dualshock with it.

You can either download games from the PSN store or you can insert your Vita game cards into its card slot. It has 1GB of internal storage that is used as a memory card and can be used for small downloadable games. If you want to download Bigger games you need a seperate memory card that goes into the PSTVs memory card slot.

You cannot play any Vita game that focuses on touch controls.

You cannot play most Vita games that do integrate touch controls even tho they are not really needed.

Every single game needs to be patched to run on the PS/Vita TV. (patched by the devs that is) So there is no guarantee to be able to play any new game in the future even if the game completely lacks touch controls.

You can remote play your PS4 games on Vita TV so you dont have to buy a PS4 for your living room and another one for your bedroom but your games will be extremely compressed (since it is supposed to run on a sub HD portable device)
Every 1080p 60fps game will run at 720p30 at max! (and thats not even crystal clear  720p. Think youtube 720p quality)
Remote play has noticeable input lag and if you dont plan on using the ethernet port of both devices (PS4 and Vita/PSTV) you can basically forget that unless you play slow paced games like turn based rpgs etc. Wireless is not recommended at all!

You cannot play any PS2 game unless you pay for the streaming service. Selected PS1 games are available via purchase from the PSN store.

I hope that gives you an Idea what the PSTV is.

When I remember something I didnt mention before I will add it here.

EDIT:

Compariosn between "realtime" PS4 and streamed PSTV. So you can see the imput lag /delay etc. (NOTE THIS IS LAN! WIFI IS EVEN WORSE!)

You can also use the PSTV to watch hulu or netflix etc. (you need a seperate subscription obviously) So if you want some kind of Apple TV device that is able to play a limited number of PSVita game its a good little all in 1 box.

thanks for the answer!.

Edit: oh and oldschoolfool thanks for your advice as well.

I think this device looks great, I'd loved something like this for the PSP during the PS2 era... yeah, I'm not a handheld guy...
Something cool would be patch PSVita fighting game to be able to play with friends using just a PSVita TV, playing Street Fighter X Tekken, Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3, PlayStation All-Stars, Blazblue etc. with friends using a PlayStation TV sounds quite cool to me... I mean, if you don't already have PS3 versions of them of course.
PS1 games already are playable in multiplayer so I'm pretty sure that what I said isn't impossibile to do.
Anyway, they HAVE to patch Gravity Rush and Uncharted Golden Abyss, they're important games in the PSVita library and they're even first party... also patching some PS2 colections (as the Ratchet and Clank and Jak ones) would be cool too.

Hey don't click here ! It's creepy !!

I want a PlayStation All-Stars Sequel ! Come on Sony, stop making too many shooters !

I'll make a better signature when I'll have time to do it...
