I prefer artistic. I live in real life, I can see "realistic graphics" when I go outside, I wanna jump around space as a fat plumber.

Call of Duty series
Any Serious sport game or World war 2 shooter.

Halo is probably up there as one of the most artistic games ever.

it depends--if their going for realism but fail then its crap...just like if they go for art and fail it crap....but i think...a good "real" game is better

Halo 3 was under some criticsm when released for not having Photorealistic graphics.

All through the 3 Halo games they decided to up the use of Tech available but keep the famus Halo Art direction.

Fans were relieved they didnt go for Photorealism. Do your research. 

As long as it fits the gameplay.. it shouldn't matter

eg. no more heroes would be near to horrifying if it were realistic graphics, and okami wouldn't be nearly as critically acclaimed.. on the other hand, a game like Call of Duty 4 would be very weird and out of place if it was set in an artsy environment rather than a realistic one

I can't really say - I love Test Drive Unlimited - makes me feel like I am shooting around Hawaii ... but then, I can get into the MS beta Bug Bash. I can even get into old skool games like Tecmo Bowl and Double Dribble.

Find me a picture of one of the humans in Halo, and then tell me that isn't photorealistic.. Find me a landscape and tell me it isn't photorealistic.
