Square-Enix has announced that they will be launching a new CLOUD gaming sevice called SHINRA TECHNOLOGIES INC. headed by former SE president Yoichi Wada.

The Shinra servers will allow for more smooth dymanic systems in future games that are connected to the service and internet...for all platforms.

The service has been in development for quite some time and can be compared to the size of Microsofts developing cloud infrastructure. Square announced that they will open the service to any development studio to use. Sony and Capcom have already signed onto the project and beta testing will begin in early 2015.
