It is bigger game because it has casual appeal. But why would those casuals buy PS3 for GTA4? It's on 360 too and Arcade is the cheapest SKU it's available to. You could mention the lack of HDD, but if you're a casual offline gamer, you don't need the HDD.

 Wait though, if you are a casual person who just wants to play GTAIV, wouldn't you want the model with HDD to get the downloadable content?  I mean you went out of your way to buy a 360 just for GTAIV, seems odd that you only want for the one game and not get all the available content for...  Or worst yet, the buy the cheap Arcade 360 and get the game and then later find out to get the DLC you need at least a $100 hard drive for it.

It is difficult to measure which will move more consoles. For example, a friend of mine got a PS3 at christmas, knowing that GTA was due out in April, which is what he wanted to play the most. Many people could have already got their PS3s for MGS 4 and GTA IV

The title of this thread is "GTA4 or MSG4 which will sell more PS3's?".  GTA4 can sell a billion copies on xbox 360, and msg4 could still sell more *PS3's*....



Trying to convince me the Wii is a real adult game machine 'if you play it right' is like trying to convince me Tofu tastes great 'if you just cook it right'

^People have been saying that for generations but when the said game comes out; what do you know? We see a huge boost.

I remember everyone saying that before Halo came out and then it ended up pushing like a million consoles.
