TBH while I think your review is nice and concise and identifies the things you liked and didn't like about the game, the score seems far too high for a fun but disappointing game. Fun but disappointing = max of 7/10 in my book, and more like 6 or 6.5. If you rate disappointing games at 8 it doesn't give you enough room to differentiate the good, very good, great, excellent, awesome, GOTY, GOTG, and BGE games.

The Original Killzone is awful, terrible, even in the dark...

can't argue with that....an 8 sounds about right.

Didn't like the whole character switching thing though. I hate it when games give me options like that, makes me dissociate myself from all the characters.

I enjoy the story, but the multiplayer was what hooked me and my friends. Hundreds of hours happily lost in the multiplayer. Good review though .

Can't say I ever played the original. I loved KZ2/ 3, and Mercenary was okay, but Shadow Fall was a huge letdown for me.

I never played the first Killzone, but, Oh my God how I love Killzone 2, IT IS AMAZING!

I can understand Killzone but R&C are easy to see why. The fun/characters and weapons are all top notch. Resistance is great for different reasons but it's made by the same guys. Maybe you just don't like Insomniac games?


Resistance is adorable, I really like it. Sad that we cannot play the multiplayer anymore.

I still liked it, just not as mich as Halo CE, which is a 95 for me.
