Did spend my lunch hour with her today, though not invited or one-on-one. I blurted something out about future lunch as she was walking away, but don't think she heard me (ironically, the third party we were speaking to *did* hear me, and i had to quietly explain that i didn't mean him. Harder when it's a foreign student. Pleasant guy though, from Uganda).

Learned more about her, though. Her plan seems to be going to South Africa this summer, so she was inquiring about that with one of the office workers, why she didn't seem to hear me.

I've got a few more hours to dig myself out of this before i leave, pretty sure she's here all afternoon, but i said it, and in front of other people, and the world didn't implode. Though possibly she heard me and ignored me, but no reason to entertain that possibility until i have more evidence to support it.

Are you like prowling the lunch area till she shows up and then jump at her at first sight? xD

Anyway its the big disadvantage to have lunch at school cause there will always be some friend eating with you..
I actually had a friend just standing 10 meters away waiting for me when i was having one on one lunch with a girl.. That was akward..

On a different note, When she says "i want to go to south africa" what was your responce? I'm betting it wasn't: "thats a beautiful country, i have a friend from there, i would love to go there one day, my friends showed beautiful pictures and the food... I know a great South African restaurant in town we should go"...

I was wandering around waiting for her to appear at lunch, and happened to spot her. It was my intent to ask but i caught her in the midst of doing something else (really, she was waiting to talk to someone who works for the University, she was just waiting for over half an hour and i was there chilling with her and the others around).

I did recommend her someone i knew who went through the school's South Africa program, btw. Not much (that guy isn't an especial friend of mine), but something. I just have to see if i can't find her again, without intruding on the quiet study area where i'm pretty sure she is.

he did the "in a group" talking before.. he just has to have the cojones to then ask her..with all those people around hi,.... not wait until for a sec when she might go to the bathroom alone.. and then follow her...

Couldn't find her later yesterday, so sent a text asking for lunch next Thursday. Which has not been replied to.

So we will see. I've played the waiting game before here.

A little update. So apparently she was invited to my families Christmas celebration. I'm not sure why...
