RE5 will be the best game. But Condamned 2 will be scariest...

It really all depends. I suspect Silent Hill 5 will be more of the same, which is just fine with me; I love every Silent Hill game to death. I'm even enjoying SH4, and I'm about 75% of the way through it at the moment.

Fatal Frame, I suspect, will be more bizarre/post-modern than usual, thanks to Suda51's influence. Frankly, I can't wait to see what that mad genius thinks up for the game.

Resident Evil was never really all that scary (aside from RE3), and I suspect fans will just be happy if 5 is "4 part two" in terms of its gameplay. Frankly, I hope they try something a little different, but it should be good anyway.

Between the three, the one I'm most looking forward to is Silent Hill 5. SH games have always pushed the limits of whatever hardware they were built for, so an HD game should be awesomesauce...

I'm really looking forward to Resident Evil 5...one of the main reasons I bought a 360...since it's probably not coming to the Wii...probably.

Silent Hill 5 isn't looking very promising. From the interviews so far we can pretty safely say the game is going to be a remix of previous game elements in HD, and the dev team seems to have the magical ability to ignore the parts I really liked, and emphasize what I couldn't care less for.

Resident Evil 5 is also a second team trying to imitate the masterpiece of a bunch of guys who left the company, although this is Capcom we're talking about, and they rarely mess up. The jury's still out on it.

Fatal Frame 4 looks good from the very little I've seen of it, but I'll not say more before trying at least a single game in the series.

Heck, why are we having this discussion before any of the games are out? Fans of a single series will say their favorite looks the best, and those without a clear favorite will just remark that it's too early to tell. All this thread is good for is seeing which horror/"horror" franchise has the most fans around here.

FF IV for all categories.

I am biased since I love resident evil, but I'm going with RE5 on all categories

Scariest: Condemned 2. Not on the list but I'm adding it because I can.

Best play: RE5. RE4 was great, I don't trust the SH franchise any more, and Condemned's controls are slightly clunky.

Overall: RE5, without a doubt.

I agree that Condemned is very scary but what they showed us of 2 doesn't made me happy and in my opinion

By the topic name alone I jumped into this thread thinking FF IV was referring to the Final Fantasy IV NDS remake.

All that excitement and I end up with nothing...
