Forums - Gaming - 50% of US PC gamers Wait for Sales Instead of Paying Full Prce for Games

Thats... actually a lot lower then I expected considering how ridiculously low the prices get during sales in pc

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I almost never pay full price for PC OR console games. Regardless, without knowing the number for the same question regarding consoles, this really doesn't have a lot of context.

The whole survey isn't very clear, anyway. 37% is PC gamers but only half are men? They could be talking about anything. My friend's wife is a "PC gamer" who plays super casual point and click games.

And where did you get your numbers? I never got to buy a used game, because I love my games fresh, clean and shiny OR digital sometimes. But 78% seems kinda biased without a hard-cold proof to support it.

And note that is "core gamers" defined as people that play games for at least 5 hours per week of traditional genres on PC/Consoles. If you include the more casual audience that number is probably even higher.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

I say smart guys... DLC and season pass are driving game prices to unreasonable quantities, I will buy more and more the complete edition and the goty editions later on... I have a huge backlog to keep me entertained in the meantime.

Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4

Duh, everyone with half a brain knows that that Steam sales, Blizzard & F2P are responsible for the resurgence of PC gaming.
