There is no current release date for the Wii U version of the game other than the announcement that it will come to the platform. This will obviously appeal more to people that liked old school brawlers. Any thoughts?

Where did you see the screenshot at? I have struggled to find details on this game. Apparently it is coming to Wii U, PC, Mac and OUYA. I did not know that OUYA still existed to be honest.

Man, do I miss old-school beat-em-ups! They seem to have become a bit of a forgotten genre.
Thanks for posting this one. If you're interested, there's a playthrough video of the first couple of areas...
Honestly, the actual gameplay looks pretty clunky. Which is a shame because I love the premise. The concert of an all-girl rock band gets crashed by zombies, so they take to the streets to kick some ass! What's not to love?
But the gameplay looks way too repetitive. It needs more moves, combinations, specials, etc. To be fair, I'm basing that on the first 8 minutes of gameplay. Perhaps more options open up as you progress. But going by that video, it looks like a missed opportunity. I really think it needs more variety.
And I hate saying that because I'd love to see this genre make a comeback. I love the classic beat-em-ups, and I think these guys had a good idea for one. It just doesn't look developed enough to me. Graphically, it's... ok. I mean, it's nothing special but considering it also appears to be a mobile game, it's not terrible.
Still, I don't think this is going to be the game to usher in a new age of brawlers. Honestly, I'd love to see something along these lines, just with a little more polish.
Awesome. I was very happy with Abyss from the eShop. Only something like £1.79 but I got it for 44p on special offer because I bought Unepic previously. Both games are excellent and done by VERY small teams. Most of the work on Abyss was done by just 3 people.
