Xbox already has like no games in Japan. Don't see how he Sony even bother trying to take multiplat games away from it.

It's not Sony, it's the publishers, they dont want to waste money publishing the game on X1 for 12 people in Japan

Well, how hard is to translate a Batman game? heck, they can only add subtitles or nothing at all and sell the thing digitally. It is not like it will sell worst than the other Xbox One games, this one is actually (probably) good, so it should be released there.

This will only make sense if they cancel all x1 multiplataform games in Japan, like Call of Duty, AC, MGSV and even FF15.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

The abrupt transfer to exclusivity? In exactly the same vein as the Tomb Raider arrangement?

Definitely not apples-to-apples. The X1 is dead on arrival in Japan, whereas in Tomb Raider's case, it was a direct result of something to put against one of Sony's biggest IPs.

I'll be plainer.

In both cases some sort of incentive will have changed hands. In neither case do we have complete confirmation of what that incentive entails.

One will have required a greater incentivisation than the other.

I'm sure Sony sent the WB Japan guys a mildly expensive bottle of sake or something.

It's not localization costs but publishing costs.

So just like last gen, games wont be cancelled in Japan, just never announced, the difference is we wont talk about it because we'll be used to it. I hope nobody will be crazy enough to say sony moneyhat all the games not coming on X1 in Japan

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Not in Japan, they do not need that, Sony had many exclusives there last gen cause japanese companies just wanted to explore that market and nothing else, then some of these games saw western releases with moderate profit, like Valkyria Chronicles.

I just think MS should not let this happen if they are serious about the japanese market. They should publish these games in Japan if their parent companies do not want to take the risk.
