Find 'em used at different hobby shops if you don't want to pay ridiculous amounts for 'em. In fact, if you like vintage toys or modern figurines (or both, along with vintage video games) try going to Nakano Broadway, it's like a micro version of Akihabara, which is in Nakano. Take the Yamanote line to where it intersects with the Chuo line, then take Chuo west (towards Yoyogi from where it intersects with Yamanote, which i think is Shinjuku).

Despite the bad rep, they are very unique and quirky, and the library is small enough to quickly collect most of it.
