did i miss something?

"I believe over the next two weeks, we will probably see an upswing in Wii supply..." Thats how he starts.

Fact: wii production is 1.8 million units a month.

Fact: over the last two weeks, wii sales have been less than 400K each week WW.

Either ninty has not been telling the truth about production (doubt), the supply is actually bigger than demand (doubt) or they are waiting for something big (bingo).

Hmmmm......SSBB on 8th of March? Nope. WiiFit? Nope. NinjaBreadMan3. For sure.

oh and just for the record: supply = sales for me currently for the wii.

I had made a topic long ago about the reason it would be wise for Nintendo to flood the market around brawl. The basic premise was there would be a higher % of core gamers picking up Wiis at that point which would lead to better future software sales. (and retro active boost to TP, SMG, and MP)

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

wii is in stock right now at sears.

psn- tokila

add me, the more the merrier.

what crawled up your ass? in many ways i agree with what you are saying, but its not fair to pretty much flame someone for giving their conclusion based on the accumulation of all of these different things, some people may not have noticed the pattern and others may just like to know that their opinions/thoughts are shared by others.. i'm in that latter catagory

So many things wrong with this thread, I don't know where to start... so I wont.

I think it is Endless Ocean European numbers still not being shown in the database.

anyways, I am getting a bit tired about the ever repeating pattern:

Week X: Oh noes, wii didnt sell much. guess it was supply constrained. Boooh, how dare ps3 fanboys celebrate cause their system sold so much compared to the wii? SUPPLIES!!!!!!!

Week X+2: oh yeahs, wii sold like 300K in us alone! ninty did it again! who would have thought they would release so many units the week of SSBB (Replace with Xmas, Uber-game X). Now I understand why the last 4 weeks supplies were low. Nintys are geniuses!!!
