Is there a reason you guys keep bringing up Bestsellers for the HOUR, when the difference in sales could be just a few units and changes constantly?  I mean you've been doing it for months, but who always comes out on top when it is said and done?  It's MUCH better to look at Bestsellers for the year or month.  Of course, you're also forgetting to add in the PS4 Bundle, which has been selling like crazy since it was put up for pre-order.  Not just a few hours or days, but weeks and months.

Most importantly, however, the One is only doing decently in the US and the UK, it's pretty much dead everywhere else.  So, which console do you think is going to come out ahead in EU when it comes to Destiny sales?  Then, you have another few 10Ks, maybe a 100K if it does well, for Japan in PS4's favor.

lol bias?

i brought up august and july monthly

and on both xb1 version is ahead

we can look at yearly too.

ps4 #19

xb1 #21

we dont have september right now

and what about all the guys bring up hourly when ps4 is ahead? do u bring this argument, too?

edit: and the worldwide 2:1 ps4 outselling xb1 version game watch_dogs for comparison

ps4 #20

xb1 #76

If I enter the thread, yea.  And like I said, you seem to continually forget to add in the PS4 bundle.  Let's look at those months you listed.  In July, the One version outsold the PS4 by one spot.  HOWEVER,  the PS4 bundle is at #24, beating the Xbox One by 22 spots.  And if we look at August, while the One beat the PS4 version by 8 spots, the PS4 bundle moved up to #11, beating the One by 38 SPOTS!!  Of course, if we look at June, too, we see that the PS4 version outsold the One version by 26 spots, which probably equalizes the past two months, if not still puts it ahead.  The PS4 bundle was also at #23, beating the One by 26 spots.

This is impressive/important for 2 reasons.  1) The PS4 has had so many people holding off buying it for those months, instead waiting to get it in Sept with Destiny, and yet the PS4 still easily beat the One in those months.  This suggests HW for the PS4 is going to be crazy in Sept.  And 2) The same thing holds true for Destiny SW.  The bundle has diverted SW sales from the standalone disc, yet the PS4 Destiny still is either ahead of the One version, or not too far behind.  This suggests SW sales, while including the bundle, are also going to be crazy.  And this is for the US, EU is going to be even more lopsided.

this is old stuff

just wait for first week numbers to be proven wrong

63:24?

are u kidding me? this would be bigger than watchdogs Ratio

With the bundle sales and install base gap it should be 3 to 1 or more.

so if xbo one will sell 2m units = 40% attachrate (~titanfall numbers)

ps4 have to do 6m+ units = 60% attachrate

thats completly bs

something like that will never happen.

Short term sales will be somewhere between 2:1 and 3:1. Long term it will get closer to 3:1. And it could very well be happening before the end of the year.

Your attach rate ratios are taking in account console sales till now which is 2:1. But lately (for the last monthes) the PS4 is overselling the XB1 3:1, I don't see why this game should not follow the same path.

They will know Helgan belongs to Helghasts

PS4 hourly back to beating Xbox One hourly.

That's huge considering the free game promotion on Amazon counts games like Destiny if chosen as a purchased game. This is really boosting it's Amazon charting. Meanwhile the PS4 bundle is lowering the PS4 Destiny software only sales potential.

Brilliant move Microsoft.

Its very interesting.  They are really giving it all they got.  Xbox One has doubled in sales.  The PS4 just sales.  No deals. No promotions.

What happens when the promotion ends.  The Xbox will go back down, but does it matter.  Is their goal to beat the PS4 or is it simply to get a larger slice of the Destiny pie?

I see the gap being ~1.8-2.5:1. I think some will be surprised if they think that the max it will be is 1.2-1.5:1. That PS4 Destiny bundle is going to see to that.

yes

some1 will

No more bet ?

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m
