You put forward two reasons, one of which is pretty solid (the L-1 vote), the other, I personally find weak but somehow in your mind that trumps the case against Sparks and now you "don't see that [your] vote can be anywhere else". What I see from this is you backing out of the Sparks lynch toDay and trying to push for a Carl lynch instead even though his case is much weaker. Something doesn't compute here if you're town.

Are you saying you are content with lynching sparks today and be done with it? I find this post puzzling. So far the only thing we have achieved toDay is to greatly increase the suspicion on Carl and that is only possible because we barely escaped a quick hammer on Sparks. Seems like a lot of people are happy to just let this day be a wash that ends with Sparks lynched.

The case against Sparks is strong, and in a large part that is thanks to your case against him, but I feel the case on Carl is getting very solid also. It is concerning to me that you seem to be happy to just dismiss that line of reasoning all together and in fact try to imply that looking for other possible lynches is not town friendly. It makes me wonder if you have set up a mis-lynch and are hoping for town to run with your strong case and now you're sitting back to distance yourself from the flip.

I guess I need to express myself in clearer way.

My problem with Wonk isn't with pursuing Carl or any other avenues for that matter. My problem lies with the fact that he suddenly presents Carl as the only vote he could possibly make toDay. So, looking for other lynches isn't what I find scummy, what I find scummy is suddenly presenting a weak case as the only valid option, that seems to me like he saw a momentum rising on Carl (with Khan and White's vote's) and caught his chance to push aside the Sparks lynch.

Might I ask what all this "toDay" stuff is about? Is it to distinguish between IRL days and Mafia days perhaps?

Yep that's it. toDay currently refers to Day Two. yesterDay currently refers to Day One. today = Sept 18th, yesterday = Sept 17th.

So, considering that, how do you view his move to save Sparks from the lynch yesterday?

Thanks Trucks!

Also, as far as I'm concerned, Sparks is still the best candidate for the lynch. His many slips and also now his seeming uninterest in the game despite being one vote away from being lynched, and his apathetic reasoning makes him the main suspect. Though Wonk and Carl are up there for sure.

I understand Carl, I suspect him much myself. But what are the things that makes Wonk seem scum to you? If you wouldn't mind I would appreciate it if you go back to the re-read of wonk I posted where I concluded he is a strong town read for me and point out why you think differently?

The move itself was very beneficial to the Town, there's no denying that but I don't think it is indicative of Wonk being town or scum. Town Wonk would do it to to prevent cutting the Day short, Scum Wonk would do it to gain town trust, delay the lynch of a buddy and possibility find a way to avoid it all together.

You're talking about this post, right? My main issue with Wonk is his actions at the end of the first Day. I just don't buy that he was trying to set a trap for me, but then again he does redeem himself by preventing the early lynch. Something about his playstyle just unsettles me slightly, and I'm not 100% sure what it is. Having a quick read through though of his posts toDay (see? I'm getting the hang of this!) makes me feel better about him though.

Will have a proper read through and have a more detailed analysis of him up later on today. Going to be out for the next few hours though, so it'll be a while.

I think if he was Mafia he would try to save his ass or one of this teamates. He could easily be a Townie who stopped caring seeing as he is about to die anyway, possibly.

Huh. What a interesting turn of events....
