Things for you to consider.
If we don't stop the perpetrator we all die before day 5 starts (unless Padib is telling the truth than some may live)
Yesterday we lynched Astro who did flip scum (first game I've played with scum lynched day one iirc)
Nickels had been close to being lynched as well. While some think I was trying to save astro at the last minute of day 1 I was testing cone with a gambit (he didn't fail but didn't really pass with flying colors either)

Night 1 there were 2 kills both marines, so vanilla townsfolk.

Today nearly ended already when many people piled votes on sparks in a very short time and white would have hammered if I hadn't unvoted.

Sparks had been in while the votes were piling on. Hopefully someone can link you the post. Though he claimed marine and apologies for focusing so much on nickel yesterday.

A few people have claimed, some aspect of their roles. White, Padib. Others have strongly hinted at something TOS radish cone and Wright.

We can be very certain there are 3 or 4 factions in the game. Though we don't know for sure if the night kills were from 1 or 2.

With all units having various values it is possible that while scum made the kills they also took some damage.

I hope your catch up isn't too difficult.

Why did you leave of TOS and sparks?

Also why did you mention smeags? He's not in the game just helps count votes.

Night kill. Not lynch

One theory I've right but nut shared yet is the simple and frequent revenge for the previous game. Both the kills were on the sum team that one last game. That could fit with Padib thinking both kills were from one team. That would also imply one or more of the sum team were town last game. So sparks prof cone Padib Ryan Wright TOS am I missing any? Though one I made the list a little bigger than though

It's interesting you pointed out the revange angle, because I have thought about that myself. If so, prof is the likely culprit in my mind. He got worked over pretty bad by those two last game, manipulated and tossed around to a flawless mafia win. Prof even expressed some anger/regrett in the post game thread.

I was going to see how prof would react to Mr Khan before springing this observaton though (as Khan was mafia last game also and grinded profs gears pretty badly), but now that the cat is out of the bag I guess I can add my thoughts on that matter.

Okay, some basic analysis. I would agree with the assessment that there are two scum factions. Keeping in line with the proportion of scum-town that was used last game, I would say 6 from both factions (especially since there seem to be a fair few vanilla or near-vanilla townies, including whiteeagle and the deceased hylian and nickles, so relatively fewer scum to balance a weaker but numerous town)

So in my estimate, 5 scum remain, each from a different faction. 7 townies remain.

I know i'm town, and from my card and his claims and actions, i have 90% certainty that Whiteeagle is town (unless he's playing a vastly more sophisticated game than he was last time. No offense guy)

Impertinence, Theprof, and Trucks are NOT protoss, but that's the only guarantee there, since they voted out protoss and he wasn't even close to a majority so it's not like they threw votes on a sacrificial lamb.

Due to his failure to vote yesterday, padib is either the nuke *or* town, but the only possible scum role i'd say is nuke.

This is what i know so far. Now i shall crawl at my sluggish 10-posts-per-page. I'm at work, but it seems like i've nothing to do this afternoon save my receptionist duties, so a perfect opportunity to play catchup.

Good work Spurge, I haven't really cleaned up my notes from DAy 2 yet, but I am not sure that matters much in reading radish, as far as I remember he is a no show so far toDay?

Anyway, Let me add what I have noticed from Radish:
He was very quick to claim town, and claimed it a couple of times before the game had really started.

He assumed that mafia was coaching each other on the first day (so assuming no day talk)

He tried to connect me and Nickles as scum buddies on the first day or so of play and later gets defensive when he is paired with Wright and says linking people on Day one is a scum tell for him (AFTER he had done the same to Nickles and me)

He expressed a desire to end the day quickly "to move things along" (this could be just typical not understanding the game well stuff from him though, going by more experienced players)

Showed up at the very end of Day one and pretended to be reading up on everything, predictably never made it back until after the lynch was over and haven't been back since?

Since you seem to have some time for the game right now? I hope you
ll give this treatment to other players as well? Wonk and Prof perhaps?
