People who say the wii has last gen graphics maybe the ps3 and 360 are ahead of their time and the wii is what graphics should be from the technology we have for a resonable price.

Nah, those people just want to express their hate towards the Wii. They don't even know about graphics or technology. 360/PS3 are not ahead of their time.

And the Wii is not a single unit processor, so his math is even more faulty.

What do you mean? I thought broadway was a single core.

If the system that more powerful than he GC and Xbox, then why do all the big Wii titles look like GC games? Galaxy is only marginally better than Sunshine, MP3 marginally better, Brawl the same, Zelda since it was just a port, etc. That is your subjective opinion on the graphics. In terms of actual detail, those games, aside from Zelda, but including No More Heroes, are past what the GC can handle. Are you saying that not only did Nintendo not bother using HD hardware that they are also barely bothering to use the hardware improvements as well? Just because you don't see they are doesn't mean they aren't. Edit: It just seems to me that they know Wii owners aren't going to care if the graphics improve and in fact fans are praising the graphical "enchancements" at the same time they say HD graphics don't matter. I think that's mission accomplished for Nintendo. I just wish fans would stop kiddin themselves and just enjoy the Wii for what it is instead of arguing that it is something that it isn't. |
The fact is that the Wii is being pushed beyond the Gamecube. Some developers, like Retro, have even pointed out effects that couldn't even be done on the GC (could be faked, though).

And this is where I saw that: A) You never played Mario Sunshine, or B) I can't take you seriously anymore.
Seriously man, normal mapping, bump mapping, specular lights, specular reflections, fur simulation, bloom and 60 frames per second stable are are just marginally better?
/facepalm
Even if i don't agree on DMC4 being easiely ported you can't say that super mario galaxy is just marginally better than sunshine.

I should add that I don't think a port would be easy (even on the PS2, RE4 had to have the graphics redrawn from scratch), there is a difference between not easy and pain in the ass.
