It always amazes me how well FIFA sells year after year after year here. I probably get one every 3-4 years (one a gen pretty much) and that's fine with me. But the success is truly mind-boggling.

I get people loving fifa and everyone should have their preferences. But you love it and dont buy it every year, how a esport game should be. Its not like its a diferent game from last year, they dont even improove the fisics all that much to be notisable. Its just a few characters moded, to look slighty diferent, maybe some new characters, maybe diferent clothes but this is not new game content, this is barely DLC content. This clearly confuses me when it comes to esports.

As someone who buys FIFA every year, I think I can clear the confusion. Simply put, even if the gains / improvemnets are marginable; core fans of the series will see the upgrade as worthwhile. The the more casual fan the diferences do not justify the upgrade cost. That's basic consumerism right there.

It's no diferent in other industries such as bikes, cameras, phones etc.

This answer I like, just tell me that your a fan, but dont tell me that the diference is huge on a game that canot change much cuz is based on a real world standard that canot be altered.

Can you read? I said fans will upgarde despite the diferences being marginal - which is the total opposite to what you are paraphrasing by throwing around the word "huge".

So.. football and tits? Interesting

Dude not you, I got another response from that comment that said otherwise. I'm sorry if it sounded that I said you said it.

Actually they are a lot more different than you think. After playing the new one for a while if you go back to an older one you really do notice a big different.

Besides, the player transfers alone are pretty much worth it

Totally agree, when you've played 10 season of career mode, you've found the flaws in the game and will be able to see the upgrades easily. Even if you don't play that long, they are still fairly noticable, not just headline features, but the general balance of the game (like how chip shots work really well basically every other year)

This year I only played about 4 seasons of career mode, so maybe it won't be as noticable. The transfers don't do it for me that much, but the new ratings do!

Cesc and Costa seem underrated to me, but I believe in a massive anti-Chelsea ratings' conspiracy! Hopefully whatever new partership they signed along with the Hazard cover should give them a nice boost. Ramos and co will still be overrated and I'll still be moaning about this this time next year

I was looking around on Amazon to see if there was anything I wanted in the bestsellers list, and I've got to say, I was surprised by how limited our Top 20 on that list is. Of 20 places, 8 different games take up spaces with their various SKUs. FIFA 15 currently holds numbers 3,4,6,7,10,12,16 & 17... I know it has a big market over here but seriously!? There is one surprise entry currently up there (Bayonetta 2, but I believe that's probably just post Nintendo Direct boost). But yeah, I'm not sure if there's a lot to say I just felt that this needed sharing. Come on UK we can do better than this!

Why do better? I am UK, and I only play 2 games every year. COD & Fifa. Both are very easy to pick up and play for 15/20 mins; it's like fast food for gamers who have other things to do in life.

I don't think I am lone in that thinking.

UK has always been about sport games, namely Fifa. Sad but true.
Same as Europe, the big sellers are Fifa games.
