You can by stuff from a foreign store without either having multiple accounts or changing your adress on the account?

If I'm not mistaken isn't the purpose for region locking so digital sales are easier to manage? Otherwise you have to deal with tons of tax laws from various regions instead of keeping everything more compartmentalized?

yes. u just have to change the region of ur console in the settings (u have to put in ur cc details for sure. or some fake adress data, if u want to pay with ms credit. but u still have and use only ur one main live account)
thats how i bought d3, because its not availble in germany
thats how i will buy forza horizon 2 and halo mcc because of the free gamestop microsoft vouchers
and now u can change back. or change to whatever region u like.
best example is wolfenstein:
this is heavily censored in germany. so there is a cut version.
u can buy this game in the us digital sore. now u can either download it form the us store to have the uncut version (without german language). or just buy in the us store, but download form the german one, so u get the cut version with germany language.
vince versa would be possible, too.
thats how it work right now. u buy one licene for the whole world.*
xbox one is the best place, if u want to play and buy region free ;)

Will German DLC work with a US disc? If yes = true region free, if no = still region locking, but easier work arounds for digital purchases. Or to take language out of it will US DLC work with UK disc?

Nice. Sony needs to cut that shit out. It's easy enough to create a US account to buy from the US PSN store. But why make people have to go through that charade? On PS3 I bought Dragon Age Awakening used and the guy selling it didn't tell me it was the US version, so it didn't work with my Dragon Age origins EU version game. So in the end the only way I was able to buy Awakenings was either on the PSN store (too expensive) or by buying the Dragon Age ultimate edition on disc, which was cheaper than buying Awakening off PSN.
