Forums - General - Odd destructive weather in recent months/years

has anyone noticed an increase in the number of storms and disasters as of late? Grant it there hasnt been that many hurricanes but there has been an increase in earthquakes.

does anyone have a chart mapping out the recent storms/disasters/weather going on? It would be interesting to see if there is a growing trend in oddities.

There hasn't been much of an increase in the number of cyclones but it seems to me that there are far more cat 5s than there have been in the past.

Earthquakes are pretty much random though, its merely chance if there are a series of them together at different places on the globe.

^well thats odd but i was leaning towards things like cold as hell weather in Florida for February 28th and that earthquake in London.

There was a hurricane down here a few weeks ago. I remember because it had the same name as me :)

Hurricane OkeyDokey?

How did I miss that one? o.O

Odd destructive weather increasing in recent years? what an odd and unpredictable thing. I bet the scientific community didn't see that coming and strongly urge our governments to do something about our contributing to it. Nope, I bet that didn't happen at all.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Hurricane OkeyDokey?  Never heard of it....couldn't have been that bad with a name like that, though.

LOL, Hurricane Nicholas silly heads :P

And I'm pretty sure hurricanes are rare in Australia. This is the only one I can think of.
