Forums - Gaming - Is the console design responsible for the sales?

I love the GameCube, it's my favorite console. Not because if how it looks, although it does look good. Their's 2 reasons, onw: the controller is perfect and 2 the games. I have 40 GameCube games, all classics in their own right and about 15 more on my wish list.

In the 5th gen, all the consoles didn't look all that. But the Psone was the best looking one out of all 3.

The n64 looked kind of kiddish but still harcore.

The saturn looked like a type writer.

Damn things have changed since 2009 began. Here are my new visions for the end of the generation.

Wii: 135 mil

Ps3: 85 mil

360: 60 mil

look at japan. the new ds? boom, sells like crazy and doesnt stop. psp? same thing. i think the japanese at least like redesigns. also, the ps3 needs to be smaller for japan and just in general. hopefully the fcc filing was for that.

my pillars of gaming: kh, naughty dog, insomniac, ssb, gow, ff

i officially boycott boycotts.  crap.

The Xbox 360 looks pretty cool. I like its shape.. but we all know it won't win this generation.

The original ps3 looked about 30 times better than the cube and 20 times better than the box!

(why the hell would microsoft put a huge X on it anyway?)
Hmmm, because it's an X-box, maybe?

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

i think that it is just about game play, controls and game library
