I Challenge everyone to try this...

Everyone with some time in the next few days to stop by their local retailer and get some information.

1. Stop by a Gamestop/Best Buy/Target/Walmart/whatever retailer

2. Don't bother to ask employees

3. Ask anyone looking at a games console a few questions

     A. Which console are you interested in?   = PS4/XB1/WiiU

     B. What makes you interested in it?   = Advertising? Word of mouth? Your friend has it? Only buy brand X? Like the exclusives?  Like the digital only games? Don't know?

     C. Why not one of the other 2 consoles?

4.  Come back to this thread and tell us what you learned.  Try to be complete.

I think if we asked people that frequent this site, we would get different answers than the general public.  The idea behind this challenge is to find out how the less games informed public is making these decisions.

Well, I'm going to DataBlitz then.

In the time since you posted this I have asked 3 of my friends that I know that haven't jumped into next gen these questions over whatsapp in a stealthy way. I will just call them A, B and C.

A: Going to buy an XB1, only had a 360 and his reason is that he heard the PS4 is heard the PS4 is more expensive and that they are losing exclusive games to MS again. He cited MGS5 and Tomb Raider. He says you can get an XB1 and a game for the price of the PS4, also said that the XB1 is more powerful cause the XB1 runs parts of the games on the cloud. I didnt say anything to him or try and correct him. And I am being very serious.

B: Going with a PS4. Had a 360 before and is going to buy the white destiny PS4. Not too happy about paying for online but says "at least now they would be able to offer free games like MS does and their online will finally be better". Again I didn't say anything.

C: Going with a PS4. Hardcore sony fan and the only reason he hasn't bought the PS4 so far is cause he is hoping someone gifts it to him this holiday season.

But looking back at some of the people I have had a similar conversation like this with, al i can say is that the "masses" say some really strange shocking things.

I know, but there is no Gamestop in Brazil so I just wanted to say something. Oh well, I asked a friend by phone, here is what he answered:

"I am thinking about buying a PS3, but I have to study ..."
