I might ponder a bit in the next few days.
We still have a few months to go.
We should make a thread two months before the game releases to pool every great gameplay and advertising idea this site's community can muster.

Maybe even a short Mario world segment complete with flying question marked boxes and evil mushrooms ^_^.

Hehe, now that would be great.

I wonder if we can also change the theme music midgame.
It would be awesome if we could.
We would have easier control over the level's atmosphere.

I have some great tracks we could use for that. Me and LISMDK would be rockin' out. :P

@Borkachev, we'll definitely incorporate stuff like that into the level. :)

I could only imagine how awesome it would be to blast some Children Of Bodom, Iced Earth and In Flames while playing. Oh.... my.... god..... I must buy this game now.

If only we could.

Wow how can it be there are so many games I want this year? Well when it comes out we'll need to get a group together. At least I have patapon for now

I still haven't heard if we'll be able to use custom music in our levels. I hope so. I suppose it would open up another barrel of legal issues though...

Well youtube AMV's doesnt seem to have legal issues.
they have similar "user created" principles.

Coincidentally, YouTube just recently announced that they're no longer accepting AMVs and will delete any previously uploaded ones -- precisely because of these issues.

YouTube obviously stays in business, though, even with a user-generated content model. So maybe it's just a matter of Sony coming up with the right enforcement guidelines (YouTube's general method is to delete any content that the rights holders complain about. And occasionally they take proactive steps like this banning of all AMVs). I'm worried that Sony just won't bother with custom music to avoid the whole issue though.

YouTube is deleting all AMVs?  That sucks!

Well, this apparently went into effect December 1, 2007. If they're not gone by now, they can't be enforcing this very stringently. Still, that's the policy last I heard.

Wow I had no idea.
I still see a lot though.

Sony could still put up a disclaimer saying "materials posted are the responsibility of the uploader"
Since theyre accepting PG18 material I would think they thought this one through and already have a plan in mind.

Losing custom tracks could cripple peoples' artistic LBP projects.
