Well youtube AMV's doesnt seem to have legal issues.
they have similar "user created" principles.

Coincidentally, YouTube just recently announced that they're no longer accepting AMVs and will delete any previously uploaded ones -- precisely because of these issues.

YouTube obviously stays in business, though, even with a user-generated content model. So maybe it's just a matter of Sony coming up with the right enforcement guidelines (YouTube's general method is to delete any content that the rights holders complain about. And occasionally they take proactive steps like this banning of all AMVs). I'm worried that Sony just won't bother with custom music to avoid the whole issue though.

Wow I had no idea.
I still see a lot though.

Sony could still put up a disclaimer saying "materials posted are the responsibility of the uploader"
Since theyre accepting PG18 material I would think they thought this one through and already have a plan in mind.

Losing custom tracks could cripple peoples' artistic LBP projects.
