i never played any gta game why is it so hyped and whats so good about it?

GTA is the definition of sandbox games, if you want a free city to roam around in you need to go GTA, plus most people have amok fantasies once and a while (it´s normal) and there is no better place to live them than GTA.

Gta is a good game but i didn't like any of the succesors , it's cool to kill peolpe , steal cars, run from cups but it gets borings. Just my opinion i prefer Rpg though

It's awesome because you can go on a killing spree and then get involved in EPIC car chases. That is all.

its fun to jack peoples cars and then drive them off a bridge (sure you will get waisted because u cant swim, but its worth it!)

its original and its fun.

I have GTA2 (which is topdown) for PC, and GTA3 for PC too.... but I have played GTA:VC and GTA:SA
I think 3 and VC are both really good games, 3 would probably be the best IMO, though VC is worth getting just for the bikes and helicopters.

GTA:SA was a bit dull I thought, and the "stories" ones are supposely more so.

I think GTAIV will no doubt be an excellent game (whether it will be better than 3 I don't know) and due to the simultaneous release on two consoles it might sell close to what VC or SA managed when combining.

(I'm gonna say roughly 7 million each console... though 360 will have the bigger launch week sales)

well i never had any non nintendo consoles so i can anywas forget gta for life

if you haven't played them you have not missed much. I spent maybe 10-15 hours on it exporing the city and such, it was fun for a while then got really boring really fast. It makes a great rental.
