We don't have games like that anymore :(

EA still makes great games on a regular basis but people just love to blend out the present when they're nostalgia blinded.

From this list I bought in the 90s

Dungeon Keeper 1+2, SimCity 2000, Theme Park, Wing Commander 3, Wing Commander: Privateer, Ultima VIII, Ultima Underworld, Syndicate, Magic Carpet, Lands of Lore 1+2, Strike Commander, Bioforge...

...plus the beloved, but even among die-hard point&click adventure game fans widely forgotten, yet excellent adventure trilogy Legend of Kyrandia 1-3 (made by Westwood Studios, the guys who created Dune 2, Command & Conquer and Lands of Lore - I hope GOG or Steam will release Westwood's other excellent 90s adventure game some day: Blade Runner).

From this promo list Dungeon Keeper 1+2, SimCity 2000, Syndicate, Wing Commander: Privateer and Legend of Kyrandia: Hand of Fate (= Legend of Kyrandia 2) are among my all-time top 50 games.

I have to admit though that this list has a dark side for me: I bought and played 2 of the best games of this list not in the 90s, but only recently for the first time via GOG re-release: Alpha Centauri and Ultima VII. I hang my head in shame.
