Forums - Gaming - Destiny Dev: Gameplay Is What Matters, Not Necessarily 1080p

Go, Bungie!

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531

Say that when the game is running at 60fps.

if that is so, why did they sacrifice framerate, which influences gameplay, for the sake of graphics?
Bungie PR

They both matter, not one without the other. Why is so many developers coming out shouting 1080p for PS4.  But when it comes to the XOne's 900p or something, gameplay what matters. Simply put, everything matters.

It's great to hear a developer say that. Unfortunately, his assertion that the industry is moving away from an unhealthy obsession with resolution and graphics doesn't ring true. I think, if anything, it's getting worse.

you guys are saying he must not visit video game forums if he believes what he does, but mot people that buy games don't post on forums and such.

Good gameplay + 60fps; I am good.

I guess he doesn't visit the internet much. Games forums are like riots at a daycare center

I do think he visits the internet much.. But not "Games forums"

(very few of people having a console.. do that. (I think max 1% who had ever read or write in a gamer forum)

(offcourse there are more who read gamer news on regular basis.. but still very few of consoles owners)

Point is.. He is right.. For a very big part of people into gaming.. they look more at the actully games, price, design and other.. casual things.

(and so do most people having a computer.. tablet.. phone or music player also)
