It's more that the majority or plurality of gamers are "swing" gamers, just like how in the US, the plurality of voters are unaffiliated.

I've seen them as early as May. I mentioned them in various threads attacking TLOU Remaster, to point out the obvious target market for it. I guess the sales kinda follow the survey.

But no need to close the thread, I don't remember a specific topic on the survey. The numbers can be further discussed as a forecast of future sales, as it shows that most PS3 owners are still waiting to upgrade.

Another point if discussion is Microsoft obviously losing a portion of their XBL Gold subscribers. They seem pretty unwilling to share those numbers anymore, as they were previously.

i know MS won't ever share the numbers with us if they are falling but i'm still really curious to know the gold subscribers.  half a billion dollars a year for every 10M subscribers is so much money.

Don't underestimate the advantages the 360 had last gen. First console to elevate online gameplay + the advantage they had with many multiplatform games really swayed the market in their favor & Kinect extended it's lifeline for a few years. PSN Plus has evened the online advantage & the PS4 hardware is easily superior, combine that with the bad taste MS left for their audience after Kinect & you get current XB1 sales. Even right now the price is even but the PS4 is easily outselling the XB1 in NA, UK, France, etc, etc.
