I always wondered what Rand and/or Robyn Miller think about The Witness.

Did a little research, now I know that Rand approves:

"How about Jonathan Blow’s The Witness? He’s come out in interviews and said it was sort of inspired by Myst.

RM: Oh yeah. I’m honored. He’s a genius with his design, so I’m excited to give it a shot. I love his work, and honestly I don’t know what to expect. I’ve heard the same thing, that it was kind of inspired, but I’ve seen screenshots with some of the puzzle-based stuff so it’ll be fun for me to plunge in. It’s always fun for me to jump into something that people says is inspired by Myst and explore."

(In case some of you have never heard of Rand and Robyn Miller: These two brothers created Myst, the game that inspired The Witness. Myst was released in 1993 on Mac and PC and sold around 6 million copies on PC alone, its sequel Riven from 1997 around 4.5 million copies, both were the two most successful PC games of the 90s. Myst was ported to numerous platforms over the past two decades, incl. PS1, PSP, DS and iOS.)

nice find, thanks for the share!

da fuck?

Oh right, I forgot to update that. e3 is over.

Too colourful for this type of game (for me)

With you everything Sony related seems to be either too much or not enough.

I'm keen on this game, but seriously I'm having problems getting off my PS3, I have so many PS3 games from just 6 months of PSN + that I have no idea when I'll be able to get around to doing most of my gaming on PS4. A sign I shouldn't have bought PS4 until next year probably.

I'm sorry for my , perfectectionism. I have a huge backlog too so I feel your pain :/

You'd better write to Webster's and Oxford and tell them they need to change their definition of perfectionism to: "one who refuses to acknowledge excellence due to a personal bias."
