Forums - Sales - 360 is back in stock, shortages over

I've been looking online and at gamestops store inventory checker. Over the last few days most places have gotten and maintained stock even of Elite. Why right now amazon even has Elite in stock.

 

The bottom line is it appears 360 shortages (which Sony fans claim doesn't exist anyway, so they can skip replying to this post since there was never any shortage) are over.  Not surprising really, since microsoft already said they would end in March and it's almost March.

 

So draw your own conclusions about what that may or may not  mean for February NPD ( is it too late? Not too late?), March NPD, etc.

Tell this too the fanboys (i.e. starcraft) and see what they think.

I'm not too sure myself cause M$ said it would continue through Feb.

ahhh...you must be referring to me. i'm flattered. my take is, ps3 still out sells teh 360 in others and japan and they sell dead even in NA with each side outselling the other when big titles are released.

Well if this is true, then next weeks sales numbers will be especially interesting. We can finally see if PS3 is actually outselling the 360 in NA.

P.S. Microsoft is almost guaranteed to have a price drop between now and GTAIV release if they plan to stay competitive in this generation.

Nope, wasn't talking talking about you. Reading what you said you almost sound like a PS fan. That's more optomistic then even I had predicted. I think ps3 sales will soon fall under 360 in NA until metal gear releases and then remain slightly lower throughout the rest of the year.

MS said were through January and February, so now that Feb. is almost over we should see how the 360 does. Will be good to see what the numbers for NA are next week.

This sounds about right. There has been a pro shortage around me here in Australia, but i'm not sure if its an actual shortage or a distribution issue.
But in the US there definitely has been a shortage. It seems like MS were absolutely telling the truth, as they said there was a shortage and that it would be fixed by the end of February.
