It has been out for a year, and more publications are calling it "Game of the Generation."  Why don't we give it a couple years before we say how big an impact it had?

LOL your top 3 are all Nintendo games so none of us are taking you seriously.  There are other platforms you know...

I mean the obvious response would be:  "That's a good game that came close.  But the cigar goes to the one that fully accomplishes it."

There are tons of games that combined both elements without getting one in the other's way, but since I complained earlier about no KOTOR in first place, I thought I could show it again now

I'm enjoying the levels of salt in here. Some people's wellness depends on the position of their favored games in these lists.

I think it's great. The Last of Us is clearly the author of this list's opinionated best game of all time. 

Ocarina of Time, Halo, Goldeneye, Final Fantasy VII, etc. etc. transcended games and became phenomenons. The Last of Us isn't even close. Uncharted 2 is closer.

The Last of Us could be top 50, but 1? No way. By the way before you say I am biased I am a Sega fanboy and I don't think Shenmue deserves to be top 10 either.

Think of it this way - Halo is the only reason Xbox is still even around. It was truly a $350 game. Love it or hate it, it has had a huge impact on the industry, and is a great game to boot.

Haha. As soon as I read the top 10 and no.1 on the list.. I kinda figure how this thread was going to turn out.

Anyway, TLOU might not my favourite game, but its certainly up there with the best.

Someone has a dim opinion of Majora's Mask, i see.

I do agree that it seems to be the hipster of Zelda games. Folks want to like it because it's edgy. I still find the time mechanic off-putting.
