Forums - Website Topics - VG Chartz Reviews!

In addition to our Games Database, we should also have VGchartz reviews. They could be written by our forum posters here. How awesome would that be?

That sounds like a great plan, i'll start with the wii ones

Good idea, but they would have to be heavily monitored by the mods, otherwise it might not be pretty.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I would write some but I haven't played many games lately, played any enough to do a review, or finished the game too late to do a review.

I started Lost Odyssey but I started WoW a few days later...

I started Culdcept Saga but then my buddies and I got busy at work and we still haven't played online

I started Burnout 3 for the PS3 (which I actually enjoyed a lot more than I thought I would), put it down, picked it back and up and probably could write a review but it's been out for a while so meh.

I wanted to write something for No More Heroes but I hurt my shoulder a few days after getting the game and haven't picked it up since.

I'm still playing Professor Layton but I imagine Nazna would want to take a crack at that game instead of me.

I havn't done one since... Ratchet & Clank I think. Maybe Ninjabread Man?

If I get a strong opinion on DQ Swords, I may begin my annoying ranting again. I tried No More Heros, but that turned into 2000 very boring words so I stopped.

I do em for fun, sometimes it's nice to read what I wrote and wonder why I said that. Sometimes it's funny to have random people accuse me of things.

I think that would be a great idea. I'd trust the reviews of VGChartz members over the major gaming magazines because you can easily pull up someone's post history here and if somebody who hated motion controls reviewed a Wii game negatively, like what has been done repeatedly in the gaming press as well as major sites like 1up.com, it would be immediately transparent.  Maybe they could put it to where the moderators could review games and we can all comment on it... either way it would be done it'd be sure to increase traffic to the site and make for interesting reading.

shotgun Virtual Boy.

well they don't have to all be current. You can review old games too. and multiple reviews are good too. So for example if 10 people review MK64, then all 10 reviews can be listed with an average rating out of 10 stars or whatever

As for new games, I think there are enough hard core gamers out there who can give their impressions

I play enough games write reviews. I'd be willing to give it a shot, though I don't think people would like my reviews very much.

To save time on reviews, people could just do a quick cut and paste and just change a few words so it looks original.
