It's a straight up action adventure with a few puzzles here and there. Wouldn't really call it platformer but there are sections you need a bit of skill for. But overall a fairly easy game that's pretty much just there for the experience.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
