I know one principle. Most powerful console never won.

Most expensive consoles can win (PS2), weak consoles can win (PS2, Wii), cheap consoles can win (Wii).

But powerful console never... maybe now (but after very good start they can even flop - DC).

Well, it depends on yoru definition of win. MS is a company, so winning = being the most profitable, and the 360 won that by a mile. The PS3 selling marginally more units LTD means little outside of forums like this one. (especially since the 360 also blew it away in peripheral, online, and software sales)
