Forums - Gaming Discussion - Confirmed: if it doesn't look serious/dark, it's an indie game

The amount of self gratification on this site after that conference is staggering.

Also haven't you seen all these dark and serious indie shooters?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Is there context to this, or what?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Yea, current industry has been poisoned.

So... Sunset overdrive is indie now?

Or at least that seems to be people's perception

Guess Nintendo mostly just makes indie games then, right?

Nah, they just make colorful games. Didn't you know that the WiiU is the only console with an actual full color palette! PS4 and X1 only have brown, gray, loads of bloom. (*Unless made by indies.)

i think what you actually mean't to say is that compared to other devs nintendo exhibits less variety in the colour schemes they use... to me its pretty much impossible to diffrentiate between environments in mario kirby and dk for example

and thats the thing using a certain type of colour scheme constantly whether it be colourful or not is not variety as nintendo fans constantly claim

Essentially if you weren't hyped for the Sony conference you have bad taste, aren't a real gamer, are poison to the industry, etc. etc.

Its nothing more than users trying to act like they have superior taste to others opinions based on their own preferences / likes. Its kinda pathetic hoenstly.
