i think what you actually mean't to say is that compared to other devs nintendo exhibits less variety in the colour schemes they use... to me its pretty much impossible to diffrentiate between environments in mario kirby and dk for example

and thats the thing using a certain type of colour scheme constantly whether it be colourful or not is not variety as nintendo fans constantly claim

Essentially if you weren't hyped for the Sony conference you have bad taste, aren't a real gamer, are poison to the industry, etc. etc.
