Forums - Sony - RIP Vita: Tearaway moves to PS4

Is sad but is the right business move put more funds and energy in the product thats actually giving them the most profit.

I'm sure Tearaway PS4 it will be a success and a sequel will be made, a sequel on Vita would have flopped and killed the franchise. Tearaway will continue thanks to this move to PS4.

at least that announcement gave Vita some presence

Lolll poor Vita owners, they just can't catch a break

Poor??? Why? I didn't loose the game I bought nor the memories of playing it and loving it...

Lol @ guys that don't own it and think they are so smart because of this... Lol indeed...

I did own one... And I sold it cause most of the games could be found else where with a better experience and there are hardly any games that can be played only on the Vita which is why I didn't think it was worth the $300+ investment I had to pay for the console + Memory card but hey, if you think thats worth it lolll, then thats fine too

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

The slightly ironic thing about this is that the last game that Sony made with this sort of aesthetic was Puppeteer, which bombed even harder on PS3 then Tearaway did on Vita. Fairly pissed off about this as someone who hopes (hoped?) for better from Vita, I expect it from someone like Ubisoft porting AC3:L to consoles, but for Sony to do it (and after less than a year) leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.

Japan will have to keep taking up the slack I guess (lets hope for something at TGS), but it's pretty damning when even Sony themselves can't be arsed to support their own product, never mind get anyone else to do it.

Killzone Mercenary next?

Tearaway didn't sell Vitas because Vita has no games. all Tearaway on PS4 does is reduce the number of games on that too XD
Seriously though Tearaway was amazing hopefully so called gamers will actually buy it this time. I'll certainly double dip for the best Nintendo game that never had a Nintendo logo.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I thought we already knew it was dead everywhere not named Japan.

At least now more people get to experience this masterpiece.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

This is a different game and not a port as I have heard.I think MM miscommunicated that this is a original TA game.

I was attending Gamescom last year and Vita got a hell of a lot of love on the floor. It was disappointing that it didn't get mentioned in this year's conference though. Still there's a few promising games coming. Especially Gravity Rush 2, Digimon Story, Freedom Wars, MotoGP 14, FIFA 15, Tales From the Borderlands, Grim Fandango, Helldivers, Murasaki Baby, Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, J-Stars Victory Vs, Tales of Hearts R, Chaos Rings III: Prequel Trilogy, all the other jrpgs and of course Minecraft (if done right a Vita bundle with Minecraft could improve sales a lot).

Wait... Vita is getting Pro Evolution Soccer 2015?
