I recent thread of NeoGAF got me intrested in discussing it here as well (I stole a thread idea, OH THE IRONY).

This extends to consoles/handhelds as well as controllers.

For me, I moved a decent distance away from my Parents in 2011 (I stopped living at my parents house in 2009 but was like 10 minutes away, now I'm almost 2 hours North of them).  Anyhow I left my all my GC stuff at my parents upstairs (our upstairs was an addition to the house and was only 2 rooms, mainly used for storage, so I thought they were relatively safe) after transfering apartments upstairs . 

About 2 years later I start to get the itch to play RE4, WW, and MP1 & 2 again.  So during some weekend I come home and look through my stuff only to find all four of my controllers gone (2 of them wavebirds).  When I confront my youngest brother what happened he said he hadn't a clue.  My Mom is actively upstairs and knows to consult me on anything she finds gaming related on wither it should be there or not.   MY Dad never goes up there cause its a mess.  So it really could have only been him, especially since he later said he did remember taking the controllers and bringing them to friends house occasionally.  Sad thing is the chances of him having sold them or bringing them to a friends house but forgetting them there was equally as possible......But I decided at the time this wasn't worth getting mad over with him (he's bipolar and him being mad/punished just means misery for my parents who are quite close to kicked him out of the house by today).

With the recent annoucement of GC adapters for the Wii U kinda has me kicking myself in the balls.....

So what have been your shitty situations about stolen gaming goods?

to me this is more a story about your brother being bipolar than stolen goods

people who are bipolar suffer a living hell

It's one thing to be bipolar.

It's another to have a somewhat shitty personality and be bipolar.

That doesn't mean I don't love em, and am usually on good terms with him (we regularly talk and interact, heck we going to see Guardians of the Galaxy together tomorrow).  What I usually disagree with him is how he treats my parents (like garbage) and how he doesn't care about most things (o a relative died? I'd rather go play at my friend's house then attend thier funeral).

I worked once with a bipolar who had a great personality, all of a sudden she decides the office needs new computer and without asking spent a huge part of the budget on Macs we didn't need...

My uncle was bipolar and had a shitty personality and one day, seeing how he was driving my aunt and my cousins crazy he shot himself in the mouth with a shotgun (he was 35 and a brilliant engineer)...

If i were you i would accompany him to the therapist from time to time, it's very complicated to understand them otherwise and being his brother that would mean the world to him

Yeah a few off the top of my head

My cousin stole my Wii and sold it for drugs

Another cousin stole a bunch of my PS1 and PS2 games (and a ps2 controller) and sold them

My entire Pokemon collection was pretty much stolen and "thrown away" , this was done by a "friend".

My DBZ game for GBC was stolen by my friend and it was obvious. I even asked him about it multiple times and got different stories.

A sealed copy of Crisis Core got stolen from what I assume by one of my cousins.

My FFVII memory card for PS2 got stolen... probably the worst of all these things since it had all of my JRPG saves on it... This was done by a "friend"

Also this kid stole my FFX disc...

There was a lot of non-Video game related stuff that gotten stolen also.

Yeaa, back in my n64 days, I had Ocerina of Time and Majora's Mask and some cunt stole Majora's Mask and I was soo pissed
