I'm a shareholder.  I'm not unhappy.

you?

If you can find an unhappy MS shareholder, I'll show you a moron.

a 1 year return of up 35% and long time record highs?  lol

compared to... oh.... I dunno.  Im sure we can find some worhty examples.

Makes perfect sense.

Shareholders are happy with the company as a whole obviously but there are parts of the company to be worried about.

We got a closed ama by the president of my employer and they had awful things to say about MS as a whole. Internally they are a mess and are bringing down their customers with them.

You would know all this right because you deal with them on a day to day basis right?

I sure do.  And I know many peope that work there.

You are talking garbage.

who is your employer?

Why would I lie, I heard it directly from the person who deals with the CEO on a weekly basis.

I can't tell you who I work for publicly but if you want to we can continue it offline.

The ama was an eye opener for windows 8 adoption too and Microsofts opinion on how it is doing.

I think the price cut is the reason

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

So

"Shareholders are happy with a company that is bringing down its customers with them" to paraphrase

you seem confused

By customers I mean companies that work with them.

So,what does that all basically mean?

It means MS spent $2.1 billion to make $1.7 billion in revenue from Xbox, meaning that they lost $400 million last FY13/14 from the Xbox platform (XB1 and X360). Now given that X360 would be profitable during that period, the loss must come from the XB1, so in essense the loss due to XB1 is $400 million plus whatever profit X360 brought in during that period.

Exactly, basically unhappy shareholders are still unhappy with Xbox. Although, that hasn't changed since the original Xbox launched.

LMAO.  Really... thats a bit of a leap.  I'm a shareholder.  I'm not unhappy.

Isnt it amusing when people talk about things of which they have little knowledge.  Its why i dont get involved in techincal resilution warz... I dont know enough about it and frankly dont give a shit.

A lesson for all of us, Im sure you will agree.

So you're saying there isnt any unhappy shareholders over the Xbox brand? or are you saying since your happy, no-one else matters?

So, Sony is doomed, Nintendo Wii U is more doomed, and Xbox is even more doomed?

Shareholders have been unhappy with the Xbox brand since its inception. As a whole though, they are pushing all the right buttons.

How long will the Xbox experiment go on for thouigh?

That's way less than i expect

Xbox is not even mentioned in questions made during investors call.

Apparently the shareholders don't care at all about Xbox business, they have more important things to watch.

I suppose because it doesnt really affect their bottom line.

Or because

"Research and development expenses increased $600 million or 6%, due mainly to higher headcount-related expenses, largely related to the Xbox Platform."

So they expected a loss even before report

Uhm, maybe I'm overlooking something and being stupid, but...

I don't think it says that.

It said revenue and cost of revenue increased by an amount, not what amount it increased to. Wouldn't we need to know from what number both increased to come to any sort of conclusion?

EDIT: Yeah, Ka-Pi sort of Ninja'd this observation.
