Well aparently 3.5 million people didn't seem to be bothered by it, being the number of people who bought Halo 3 but didn't buy Halo 2.

i would just like to remind you that Uncharted 3 is most likely severely undertracked as is TLoU on this site is. 

the Uncharted franchise shipped 17.32 million as of april 2012. VGC has the franchise at around 14.3~ million or so. a huge part of those 3 million that are uncounted for are most likely to be for UC3. UC:GA didnt do all that much as we know it, and its pretty much tracked right. UC2 was spot on before the holidays of 2011 (sony announced 5:9 million, VGC showed 5.8M). so where are those 3 million?  some could be for UC1, most likely too. others for UC2 which probably did better in the holidays than VGC showed and had a better boost due to UC3. but the majority is most likely for UC3. also remember, sony announced it shipped 3.8M day one for uncharted, doesnt make sense if the demand was just 1.3 million for the first week. 

its most likely undertracked by the severity of TLoU. i wouldnt be surprised if UC also shipped 7M+ by now, or even 8M+.

That wasn't true last gen now was it? Sure Wii was the weakest and sold the best but then ps3 was considerably stronger than 360 and outsold it by 2mil+ when the gen ended.

No it's not becuase that statement is plural meaning the two weakest consoles sold the best. Which isn't true. It wasn't true with Ps2 either. The Ps2 was stronger than the Xbox and outsold the xbox. Ps1 was the strongest console of it's time and again sold the most. So not true.

Also you can argue that wii was the strongest console because it had the most innovative feature which was motion controls and still the best use of those motions controls. At the very least you could say they had the strongest input technology.

3ds is weaker then psv and 3ds sold more,ds was weaker then psp and ds sold more,ps2 was weaker then gamecube and ps2 sold more.

But the real reason why weaker consoles always sold the best is that before ps4 all weaker console had better library then stronger consoles.

Exactly. Power alone means nothing.  Wii sold a lot in the first 3 years because of the motion controller and its peculiarity; its success had nothing to do with hardware performance and polygons per second.  PSX was simply the best console offering the most variety in the game experience, and it won. Same for PS2.

360 is an incredible console, close to beat PS3, again, because it is a great console and PS3 was so expensive at the beginning, also hard and complex to develop for, and released 1 full year after 360 in NA/Jap, and 16 months after in Europe.  It looks like Sony learnt a lesson with PS3 vs 360, and got stronger, while MS tried something that didn't work, and they got weaker as a consequence.

Playstation is overall the most popular console on the Planet, and with this PS4, mostly considering its competitors, no way one of them will be able to come back in the Global, no chance on earth.

Ur absolutely wrong, im not trying to sound like a dick but seriously do 5 minutes of research, Xbox was more powerful than PS2 and N64 was more powerful than PS1.
